Kate Sample, M.D. OBGYN

Dr. Kate Sample has been providing health care to women in Madison since 2002.  She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at University of Wisconsin.  She received the Ben M. Peckham Award for excellence in the teaching and clinical practice of obstetrics and gynecology and the Distinguished Teaching Award: Outstanding Resident in 2006.  She also received the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Award for Excellence in Laparoscopic Surgery.  She earned her Doctorate of Medicine from University of Washington.  Dr. Sample is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She is a staff physician at Meriter Hospital.

Dr. Sample grew up in Montana.  She attended Georgetown University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Theology. She shares the vision of all the partners to focus on strong physician-patient communication and believes in empowering women to strive for health and balance.

Dr. Sample is committed to the highest quality of care in all aspects of women’s health.  Her special interests include:

• Minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopic and hysteroscopic approaches
• High and low risk obstetrics
• Pelvic floor disorders
• Exercise, weight loss and obesity

Dr. Sample lives in Madison with her family.
